Cute Pyjama Bottoms - David and Goliath Shopping Haul

I recently went to buy new pyjama bottoms and I heard that David and Goliath has amazing ones. So I went to their Covent Garden branch in Central London and bought two: a long and a short pyjama bottom. They have such gorgeous and cute clothing in the shop!

The shorts that I bought is purple and has dancing kitchen equipment on it. It is super comfortable due to the blue elastic band on the top and also the material feels good. I paid around 15 GBP for the shorts.

The second pair of pyjama bottoms I bought has little giraffes printed on the fabric. The color is a mix of yellow, blue and light purple. They were around 25 GBP.

The style of David and Goliath is probably rather childish but I think that is why I like it so much. I mean, how cute are these two trousers?!

My advice is to not buy them too small as then the elastic band might be very tight which is not comfortable at all.

Revlon Lip Butter

Hey everyone!

I hope you are having a great weekend so far! I know there exist quite a few reviews on the Revlon Lip Butters already but I also wanted to share my opinion with you.

I bought three different shades: Strawberry Shortcake (No. 080), Berry Smoothie (050) and Cotton Candy (045). They are 7.99 GBP in Boots which is quite expensive but Boots had a 3 for 2 offer (buy 3 products and get the cheapest for free) so that overall the price seemed ok.

My first impression of the lip butters was that they looked like lipsticks, the colors seemed vibrant and also the packaging appeared very much so. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning but now I really really love them!  They glide on the lips like butter when applying and feel so light and moisturizing, more like lip balm. I was expecting a fruity smell when I tried them first as the packaging is so youthful but they do smell very neutral.

Strawberry Shortcake and Cotton Candy are quite similar but the latter is far more shiny and glittery. The Lip Butters are so awesome because you can wear them on any occasion. For the lighter shades I found that no mirror is needed for the application.

What I did not like that much about the Revlon Lip Butters is that they do wear away very quickly and will not stay on the lips for long. The colors I have chosen are not very strong but there are more vibrant colors too. I like pastel and light colors so these Lip Butters are perfect for me.

I do not think that they are available in Germany but I am sure that there are some shipping options from the UK.

Nails of the Day - Maybelline Express Finish

Hey everyone, I hope you are all well. The weather here in the UK is super horrible: it is raining, it is windy and it is cold! In June!

Sooooo I tried to give my nails a summer look! I recently bought my first Maybelline Nail Vanish. I have totally fallen in love with the color: Turquoise Lagoon (No. 862). It is just such a lovely summer shade. The price is 4.09 GBP but Tesco has it on offer at the moment for only 3.09 GBP.

One reason why I adore this nail vanish is that it is so long-lasting and dries very quickly (Maybelline claims 40 seconds).

LONDON

We had an amazing day in Central London and thought we would share some of our impressions with you. Having started near London Bridge we crossed Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, went over to St Katharine Docks and back.

And the nicest Starbucks Café in London was on our way...in St Katharine Docks  (http://www.skdocks.co.uk/) near Tower Bridge. View on a lake with lots of little boats. Such a beautiful and relaxing location in Central London.

Artdeco Ceramic Nail Polish

I adore the Artdeco Ceramic Nail Polish Collection! Artdeco claims that the nail polish consists of very fine ceramic particles which give it an intense colour and a long lasting shine.

I used colour No. 122 but the whole collection consists of 28 different colours. The nail polish is 7.50 Euro in Germany and 10.25 GBP in the UK (advantage for the Germans :P )

                                                                     http://www.artdeco.org.uk/makeup-products_nails.htm

I loved how easy the application is. I ususally apply two layers when I use nail polish but for this one I thought that already one layer had a very strong effect and gave my nails an intense colour.

Zara Shopping Haul

<a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/3807348/belle-soleil?claim=f4hesbk9mce">Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a>

Here two gorgeous pieces available in Zara at the moment. The first one is a super pretty white blazer. It costs 49.95 GBP which I think is a bargain. The blazer is very simple but has a pocket on each side which can be opened and closed with a zip. It is timeless, has a female shaped silhouette and a white/cream colour. I think this blazer is amazing as it is so classic but yet stylish. It is wearable for formal occasions but also for a night out. I also think that it looks a lot more expensive than it actually was. I cannot wait to wear it..!

The second piece is a red and blue checked shirt with golden ornaments on the pockets. This shirt fits perfectly to a tight black jeans and black boots and I am really excited about it. It was a bit pricey, 39,95 GBP, but it is a real investment buy. I especially love the golden coned spikes on the pockets.

17 Instant Glow Gold Bronze Shimmer Brick

OMG! I really did not want to buy any make-up when I went shopping recently but here it goes. I bought the 17 Instant Glow Shimmer Brick in Gold Bronze in Boots. In the UK it has only been dark and rainy for the past weeks and I am desperately waiting for some sunshine to come. I thought a bit of summer color in my face will help and it did!
I bought the product with the impression of it being a bronzer but I think it can also perfectly be used as a highlighter. It includes four different shades: a rose one with a silvery shimmer, a light brown/silver shade, a golden shade and a brown shade with golden shimmer. The shades give a very natural tan and do not look orange on my skin.

I love that I can decide myself how dark I want the bronzer/highlighter to be. When I have been in the sun for a long time and my skin is tanned then I can for example only use the darker shades. The shimmer of the product is lovely because it is not too much which makes Instant Glow wearable for every occasion, even for an evening event. When applying it for the first time I made the mistake that I applied too much of it as the powder is very well pigmented.

I paid 4.99 GBP and I think it is a fantastic buy. The quality of the 17 Instant Gold Bronze Shimmer Brick is first class. I would give it 5/5.

Garnier Body Summerbody Moisturising Lotion Deep Sun-Kissed Look 250ml

Last week I purchased the Garnier Summerbody Moisturizing Lotion to get a bit of a summer tan. I am very pale and even if I am in the sun I do not really get tanned. Fake tan is not really an option for me as I simply do not have the patience to apply it properly. So a moisturizing lotion with a light tanning effect sounded very promising. And I was not disappointed as the Garnier Body summerbody lotion is amazing!

I am applying it on my body every night before going to sleep and so far I am stunned by the results. The summerbody lotion exists in two shades. A light one and the sun-kissed look one which is the darker one of the both. The lotion has a lovely smell (it says apricot on the bottle) and is easy to apply on the skin. I could already see the effect after the first use. The shade is not too dark and goes off quickly when you take a shower. The price is 5.20 GBP but Superdrug is selling it half price at the moment! So if you want it be quick!

Overall I would give it a 4.5/5.

Lancôme La Base Pro Perfecting Make Up Primer Smoothing Effect Oil-Free 25ml

I accidentally purchased this primer as I had asked the assistant for the Lancôme Effet Miracle Bare Skin Perfection Primer 15ml (I will do a review on this soon). When I arrived home, my first thought was £26.00 for a 25ml was quite expensive, but ended trying it anyway. I don’t regret buying this primer as I have been using it for almost every day, for 6 months now, and there’s still half of it left! It is non-oily and provides a lovely, smooth base before applying my tinted moisturizer/BB cream.

Overall I would give this a rating of 5/5

Positives:
Non-oily
Smooth base
My makeup lasts all day

Negative:
Expensive

Skin79 Super Plus Beblesh Balm Triple Function (Hot Pink) SPF25++

BB Cream
BB cream is originally from Germany, but its popularity rose in Korea with many celebrities using it. BB cream is known to act as a moisturiser, sun block, primer and foundation- an all in one beauty product! It is one of the best selling products in South East Asia and only last summer 2011 were BB creams introduced here in the UK.

Review
I will be reviewing Skin79 Super Plus Beblesh Balm Triple Function (Hot Pink) SPF25++. It is one of the best selling products of Skin79 and is suitable for combination and oily skin. The three main functions of this BB cream includes: whitening, UV protection SPF25 and wrinkle improvement.

I was aware that there were many fake BB creams being sold online, for that reason I purchased the Skin79 BB cream (Hot Pink) on YesStyle, a reputable online shop of Korean, Japan and Hong Kong beauty and fashion. The BB cream itself costs £14.33, with delivery to the UK £8.99, so in total I paid £23.32. I had a look online and it is now available on Amazon UK with prices ranging from £15 - £25.

I have been using Skin79 Hot Pink for 2 and a half months; it is a lot thicker than my Lancôme Hydra Zen Tinted Moisturiser and so it provides a better coverage. For the past few months, I have been breaking out a lot due to stress. The cream itself has helped to minimize my imperfections, however, a concealer is still needed to cover any blemish/post-scarring marks.  The Skin79 BB cream can be easily blended using your fingers and has a light scented smell. Personally, I love this BB cream as it gives a natural finish and does not clog my pores.
Overall I would give this a rating of 4/5

Positives:
The bottle comes in pump – hygienic
Natural finish, doesn’t clog pores
Evens skin tone
Hydrating throughout the day
Minimizes my imperfections
SPF25

Negatives:
Comes in only one colour
Once applied it will look grey, but matches your skin tone after a few minutes

I found this website very useful when deciding what BB cream to purchase, hope you’ll find it useful too!

Kanebo Sensai Total Finish Foundation 12g (TF 102) Review

I thought it would be great to first tell you something about a product I have been using daily for a long time now. I absolutely love the Japanese Kanebo Sensai Total Finish Powder with SPF 15. It says that the “delicate layers of color sheathe the skin, providing radiant, natural-looking coverage” which is totally right.

I am using Soft Ivory (TF 102) and I bought mine in Douglas in Germany for 33,95 Euro. In the UK you can find it in Harrods (this is the link: http://www.harrods.com/brand/kanebo). The reason why I think this product is so amazing is that it is extremely fine, covers well and looks very natural at the same time. Because my skin tends to be quite red and oily sometimes this powder is essential for me and I always carry it with me in my hand bag.

I do prefer make-up which is rather decent and classic. Combined with a foundation the powder makes my skin look very even and bright but in a natural way. Once applied, I do not feel it anymore and it is just like a second skin. It exists in nine different shades and the one I am using is probably the lightest one.

It is rather pricey but so worth it and its feels like that it lasts forever! What is a bit annoying is that the powder itself and the case do not come together; so you have to buy a case (15 GBP) plus the powder. But then the case can always be refilled which I think is a lot more environmental friendly than if you would always have to throw away a whole case when replacing the product.

This is one of my favourite beauty products so overall I would give it a rating of 5/5.

Lancôme Hydra Zen Tinted Moisturiser 50ml (01 Naturel) Review

Lancôme Hydra Zen Tinted Moisturiser comes in three shades:
Lancôme's tinted moisturiser claims to give a more “smooth, supple, more radiant skin”. I purchased 01 Naturel, as I preferred a more natural coverage. However, there is not much difference between 01 Naturel and 02 Sable, the Sable colour is more of a pinkish colour but also gives a natural coverage. This tinted moisturiser is suitable for normal to combination skin.

I have been using this tinted moisturiser for 4 months and I love it! It has a lovely rosy smell, feels light on the skin and calms my skin when I’m stressed. It also has SP15, and so I use it on a daily basis. I purchased this tinted moisturiser for £26.00, a little pricey, but only a small amount is needed to give you a nice glow. I still have loads more left in the tube! I think this tinted moisturiser is great for summer because it is light, and doesn’t clog my pores. However, it does not provide full coverage and so you will need to use a concealer to cover blemish/post-scarring marks.

Overall I would give this a rating of 4/5

Positives:
Lovely rosy smell
Light and natural coverage
SP15
Lasts very long (only a small amount is needed)
Does not clog my pores
Glides onto my skin smoothly

Negatives:
A little pricey
Does not provide full coverage on blemish/post-scarring marks.

WELCOME TO OUR BLOG!

Hi everyone, welcome to Danni’s and Helen’s blog! With the end of exams and a beautiful summer to look forward to, we have decided to create a blog to share our experiences of beauty products, lifestyle in London and other miscellaneous posts occurring in our normal lives. Hope you enjoy our posts!

Question for the day: What is your skin type?
Many people buy products that are not suitable for their skin type. Has this happened to you before? It has, to both of us! There are over a thousand of skincare and make-up products around the world, but different skin type needs different care, so it is important to identify your needs.

Join us on our beauty adventure and many more!

Love Dan and Helen xoxo
